A lot of people have commented on my previous posts, where I talk about giving money to the homeless and giving food.
I know my arguments may seem harsh and a lot of people find it annoying that I make my points finite and decisive, and have let that be known.
Though there seems to be a lot of confusion, because people seem to let their opinions out without properly reading what I wrote, only focusing on the bits that they don’t like.
I am not against giving food to homeless people.
Food is good, we all need food to survive. And lots of people aren’t very enthusiastic about giving a guy a few coins.
But if you, the individual, who gets to go home, and sleep on a comfy bed and not know what it is to be lonely, feel that you’re doing an awesome job because you only ever give ” Mad Mike” a Big Mac meal. You are not.
- You are setting a limitation on your kindness to only what you are comfortable with.
- You feel that homeless people are not capable of trust or capable of you know…making decisions for themselves
- And most sad of all you missed out on showing respect to a homeless person.
So next time, if you want to give food, don’t do that again, and again ,and again, and again… don’t just drop it and walk away.
Actually show someone you care.
